Is there anywhere a general list of advice on what works and what doesn't on engine tuning?

I'm thinking of things which can be done which leaves (for the moment) the engine block and head standard but changing camshaft(s), turbo, intercooler, exhaust, air filter, (and obviously chip)

Any help greatly appreciated

Take in mind, that every change you make to the engine will require a remap!

A free flow 3" exhaust is a major improvement, especially when you leave the middle box away. The turbo will kick in a bit earlyer. Ditch the first cat in the down pipe. Be aware that the car will become quite a bit louder :smoke::smoke:

A chip like the squadra chip is also an improvement in power, but also drivability of the engine. It runs smother, reacts better on throtle response. Also be aware you'll require RON98 petrol. I have no experience with other chips offered on the market.

These are the cheap horses you can gain with little effort.

Thanks - I will start work on the exhaust - I was also thinking of camshafts and turbo.
