Hi,
Does anyone know how to modify the 8V ECU to work with the 3bar MAP sensor?
I understand the principal but I have no experience with ECU modification and I really don't want to screw something up.

need change some hex adress in ecu bin file
what is your standard map pressure?

Hi,
I am now running the standard APS 02/03 map sensor that is working from -1 to +1 bar.
I want to use the APS 05 01 sensor that works from -1 to +2 bar.
I have found some info on the http://bigturbo.co.uk/ website in the "sensors" section but I have no clue on how to change this numbers...
there is ford base iaw ecu
it must be different map adress
we have some xdf map file on forum
http://www.berlinasportivo.com/pages/q4ecu.php
I see one 8V lancia file
Im check it and it have main injection + main ignition and rpm cut off adress
but i know not same all 8v ecu programs
if you emailed your ecus eprom file me, I want to check
you need an eprom reader-writer at least

Im change maps data (injection and ignition)
emailed you
now this is test phase:
could you test this eprom file your car?
first, change your car`s map sensor to 3bar
than test this chip
it is standart lancia 8v turbo chip, just rearranged for 3bar aps map sensor.
so it must be run max ~0.8 bar.
and it must be run like "old standard chip".
if we pass this test.
Im rise up map and ignition breaks points
like over 1.5-1.8 bar or high turbo pressure (std is ~0.8bar)
what is the problem
we need changed overboost map datas too future.
I dont know well, 8v turbo engines have overboost valve for turbo?

Hi!
Thank you for your help!
The 8V has the same Pieburg over boost valve as the 16V version....
I will have this map burned onto a chip and I will test it with a 3bar MAP as soon as I can. I will leave the boost at 1.0 bar as i have it now to compare how it works.
I have a WB lambda fitted to an AFR gauge so the results will be exact!

Hi everybody, sorry to re-up an old post doing necroposting, but I'm looking for this EXACT information.
I'm new here, a non professional mechanic, I do it for passion of cars and all is about.
I also enjoy with ECU studying and sometimes remapping, little things but give me satisfaction.
Now I have a friend with a Delta Integrale 8v completely stock that want to use the ASP 05/01 instead of the 02/03, first for the availability, and secondly to use a boost of 1.2 insted of original.
So looking for information I found this site and forum with many information. I studied differences between the 155 and Delta ecus, they are more similar in the 16v version of course, but the 8v is a little bit different, and I'm not confident in the conversion unit I found.
Can someone please help me to modify the original map to use the 3 bar APS and identify the boost table and limiter?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Hi zioweb
Don't worry about digging up an old post, always good to discus an interesting issue.
So the ASP/MAP sensor in the 8v, is that a 2 or 2.5 Bar unit as standard? And you want to use a 3 Bar Map sensor in the future?
What bit of software are you using to look at the maps now?
I've just taken a look at the 8v maps from the ECU page of the website using Tunerpro, (free edition) seems to bring up the limiter map ok, can't see the boost map though.
Are you able to post up the OEM files?
Hi Steve Webb, thank you for your kind response!
I'm using both TunerPro and ECM, 2001 and Titanium at the moment with this ECU, I also use WinOls for Bosch ECU.
Also in ECM there is no info for the boost address but I tried to compare the map with the Delta 16v in wich I know the addresses and also compared with the 155 Q4 map.
Unfortunately the 8v map is different to my eyes and what I found did not convince me.
The first Delta Integrale is an 8v without Lambda control and uses a single APS Weber model 02/03 that reads up to a 1.1bar of boost (approx 2 bar absolute).
The later Delta 16v and the Evoluzione are using two APS in tandem, the 02/03 and the 05/01 that reads up to 2 bar of boost (approx 3 bar absolute).
I want to use the 05/01 in the 8v because it reads up to 2 bar for future tuning, but mostly because the 02/03 became difficult to find.
Yes I can post the OEM file, is this: 2846
Hope we can find togheter the precious info :)
Good morning everybody... :) any news about the file? I continued to study the file and found some addresses that are interesting, but need confirmation.

Hi zioweb,
I'm trying to get in touch with someone who has far more 8v tuning experience than I do, hes a member of the forum so I've let him know about the thread. Hopefully he'll get back to you soon.
Thank you very much Steve! :)
Hi all... no one has a news about?
I find out how to change the map for the 3 bar MAP sensor, but I need to know the address of the excessive boost cut!

Sorry still trying to get a couple of the member to take a look for you, infact over the weekend I'll be changing the forum layout a little to have a specific ECU section.
Thank you Steve. I'll be glad to share the info I found when all collected.
