Hi guys,

someone knows if is possibile to disinsert rear trasmission of 155q4 such as fiat tempra sw 4x4?

it seems front differential is same, only difference is elecrtical insert/disinsert piston.

i post a link with some info:

If you can remove the vicous coupling and lock the input and output shafts together(they are inside each other), the torque to front and back diffs will be the same.

Then you can take the driveshaft off to the rear, or the sideshafts to the front wheels.

Why do you want that?

i don't mean a permanent removing, but a on/off switch like a tempra Station Wagon 4x4

No you will have to replace the viscous coupling with some clutch and then the 4wd will not be nice. And in 2wd the disconnected part of wheels will eat the tyre with the load of the diff to turn. Much like a series 1,2,3 Landrover with freewheel hubs.

The on/off button refers to a locked rear diff, NOT to a part time four wheel drive.
You will have a permanent 4x4 drive with the possibility to lock the rear diff for better grip at driveaway.
