Took the Q4 for a quick shakedown run tonight ...................

started a bit rough but once it got a tank full of petrol and she warmed up it was away sweet as ............ lots of pull through the revs and holding a steady .9 -1.0 bar

So far very happy with it .................

Well obviously ...................dump valve makes a lot of noise but then so does the wastegate at high revs

Might take a while to get used to being ion the wrong side but i`ll get there

I was thinking the same about being lhd but I think the misses will be shitting herself more

It appears i got it mucky yesterday so it had to be cleaned again

And i spent a few hours covering the underneath with anti rust treatment and anti chip stone chip

So any problems come to light on the shakedown?

No no problems at all so far Steve ......................

feels good plenty of go ...........think the only problem i`ve got is rust on the discs but i`ll soon have that cleaned off

Not 100% sure .....................but i do think it has been stripped out and used on a track hence the harness mounts and fibreglass bits

i`ll have to whip the ECU out and check .............but anythings possible with those crazy jap guys :lol-052::lol-052:

Spent this afternoon changing the Cambelt on the Q4 ................. thought it was going to be a pain in the arse but was a nice simple straight forward job :clap::clap::clap::clap:

Yup, straight forward job (I managed it!)...did you change the water pump while you where in there?

You'll be taking it for a thrash now then...?

No didnt change the pump .................. i`ll save that for when it starts leaking :icon_wink::icon_wink:

and yes it`ll be going for a thrash as soon i can get it out of the garge its currently blocked in :thinking-011::thinking-011::thinking-011:
