Reading a thread on another forum made me think of posting this question up.
What car have you driven or have been a passenger in, that has got the most attention from the general public.
I've had a few journeys where people have just stared as I've driven past for various reasons.
The first was when I decided to drive my old Fiat 500 down to Wiltshire from South East London, this required a trip around the M25 during which I got waved at by pretty much every car. The 500 was tuned so sitting at 65mph was no problem, but as people drove past you could see them all doing a double take and then waving. It wasn't the most comfortable of trips but it was enjoyable.

Next up was when I went with a workmate to drop off his Mini at a specialist, courtesy car was their old show car which was a mental Mini Roadster, no roof of any sort, the rear seats were gone and covered with new bodywork, and there were just a couple of aero screens to keep the flies out of your teeth. Totally mad car and we got stared at all the way back to work. The bright yellow colour of the car might have been the cause of that though.

And finally there was the time I got to drive an AC Cobra continuation model over here in France. People would stop and turn to see what was coming up behind them, apparently a supercharged small block ford motor with straight through pipes makes quite a noise.

So guys, what have you driven that has caused people to stop and stare?

This was the mini:

Everytime i go down the road in the 155 .............. might have something to do with the way it looks and the way it sounds

The amount of people with open jaws pointing or thumbs up or people grabbing camera`s and taking photo`s is crazy

so everyday i drive it usually :rofl:

My old Mk1 Granada, very low, very loud and very quick since it had a turbo technics converted XR4i engine under the hood that I owned about 9 years ago.

Actually had people following me to see if I would sell!

I did get stared at in this on one journey:

But that was probably because it was around midnight on Christmas eve and i was driving down the M3 with the roof down.
Well if you've got a convertible you may as well make the most of it. :driving-014:
