Further delving under the bonnet has had me thinking about the connection from the plenum, just by the throttle body, down to the brake servo.

It looks in pretty dodgy condition after all these years, well pretty brittle really.
What have people replaced this with? I guess it needs to withstand boost pressures as well as vacuum when its activating the servo. Will a larger bore silicone hose stand up to this?

Silicone might close under pressure.

It does look brittle but in the times I have disconnected it has seems OK so not thought t replace it.

That reminds me, I did some work replacing oils and filters on a 1999 Audi TT and his manifold to servo pipe has almost split through at the connection for the non-return valve! Not long before he will be stamping on the pedal!
Better go research a replacement.

Well I've found some flexible hose specifically for the brake servo, so I'll stick it on my shopping list just in case the original one snaps whilst I'm removing it.
