My current Alfa Romeo is a 146 Ti 2.0 Twin Spark with plenty added goodies and magic!
It has bee turbocharged and intercooled by Alpine Developments South Africa.
Here is some specs and photos:
The turbo conversion was done when the car had about 5000 KM on the odo.
Pistons are standard.
Conrods are standard but shortened to drop the compression ratio to 8.0:1
Fuel pressure regulator was bypassed in the tank at the fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulatorfitted at the rail with a new return pipe to the tank. (done by myself 8))
2 x Extra fuel injectors for more fuel controlled via a Gotech mini X system.
The standard Bosch M1.5.5 management remains on the car.
Boost is set at 0.5 barpressure although this setup can easy handle 0.8 bar. I left it at 0.5 for extra peace of mind!
Adjustable Koni shocks with a 30mm Eibach drop.
16" Yokohama A-drive tyres 205/45/16
Madman EGT gauge installed.
TIM boost gauge installed
The standard plastic plenum was replaced with a CF1 Alluminium plenum. The plastic one broke under pressure and led to number 4 piston running lean and breaking a ring landing. This happened to the previous owner.
Power reading was 141KW on the wheels and 176KW on the flywheel.
Not bad for a 2.0 4 cylinder! I am in 3.2 V6 territory.....
The car now has a geniune 74000km on the odo.
It is a 1999 model.
