Does anyone else have a soft spot for the 131 Mirafiori and SuperMirafiori?
Just been reading a magazine article about Fiats battles with Ford in 1970's rallying and it occurred to me that it has been years since I've seen a 131 out on the road.
Oh and the Russian rip offs don't count.
Actually I have an 131 Supermirafiori standing in the garage. The rear-diff is broken, but the car has only had a single owner and it stands completely original.
It has a little bit of rust, but nothing worth mentioning.
Someday I will hopefully have the time to freshen it up, and get her spinning. Already found the parts broken.
I'll post a picture once I get home. ;)

I knew there must be some good examples left out there in the wild. I think all the ones in the UK have either rusted away or been restored to pristine condition.
Oh and this appears to be my 3000th post.
Here is some images.. :) The mileage of the car is only 111.000km, since 1978! :)

That only looks like it needs recommissioning. Is the underside in as good condition as the top?
Cheers to your dad and his friend. I like to see such enthusiasm...

Yes, the underside is also very good. It is indeed a garage-queen! :)
Only problem is the rear-diff, and the engine needs to be taken apart since it is stuck. :)

My dad is indeed a car enthusiast we have a bunch of veteran & vintage cars. :)

Thats just the perfect excuse to rebuilt it to a better spec.
Must be plenty of hot Fiat parts that will slot straight in there.

We still have quite a few runners here in Malaysia. Some completely rebuilt from ground up.
I have always been in love with the 131 Racing Abarth. Unfortunately the Abarth version never made it to our shores except for the 131 Racing 2000.
I have a 131 sport, that I am turning it into a GRP 4 replica.
Well you car sounds good.. I love the oldies because they are beautiful and they always remember us our past. Thanks for sharing the photos of you nice car (http://www.allvehicleaccessories.com.au/). Now what planned for next?
