...and it isn't 500km away.

1982 GTV6 with only a little (declared) rust. I'm asking for a few more pics so I can a better picture of it.
No CT (MOT) at the moment, but it doesn't sound like too much to fix.

Well, as they say one door closes and another one opens up.

Spotted this one today, its a started restoration being sold off. They will even deliver (for a cost no doubt)

Heard today that the van is sold as well. So I'm back down to 2 cars, and have been given to go ahead from SWMBO to get the GTV. Happy days.

OMG! I just looked at the condition of that GTV on leboncoin! - Thats a lot of work !! Is this GTV to be a racecar or a street car?

Il a dit - Complète à 95%. - Vraiment?

Half and half is what I'm going for. I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy with some more pics. From what I understand all the bodywork is now finished.

Well all the bodywork isn't finished, got a few pics of the car through this evening, I've uploaded them to flickr HERE (http://www.flickr.com/photos/74824627@N05/sets/72157629512653965/)

What do you guys think? Some of the pics are from interesting angles so working things out might take time.

I guess I'd say that if it was an old giulietta or a real alfa classic - it would be worth the time and effort to repair it. But in my opinion these cars are too common to commence a project with one in this condition. As it stands - I can see a case for a simple 'bog up and paint fix' for a track car - but to make it into a really rust free, great example of a GTV would take too much work (in my opinion...)

Lots of work left to do on that...unless you're really keen and good with bodywork this might not be the one.

It looks to me as though its been stripped back to fix the front inner wings, but what worries me are some of the panel lines in the patched up areas. Also the bottom of that front wing looks very fragile, doesn't bode well for the underside of the car as a whole.

This one stays on the list, but its certainly not top of it.

You should be very careful with the "foundation" when you're up to a project like this. Bodywork could be the hardest chapter of the book as I've been experienced earlier and I was lucky to have a pretty much rust free one...
