I seem to remember a few years back, someone stuffing a V6 into a 145, must be something about them.
That 20VT engine swap looks pretty straightforward, mind you I don't fancy doing a belt change on that!!

In Germany somebody fitted a 3.2 GTA engine in an 145.
very nice job and a stunning car!
Hi all!
In Austria somebody built a 145 Q4.
Have a look:

That's some kind of advantage of a common platform...
Best regards, Martin

That Tipo looks a bit tasty, it also sounds just a little bit like an original Quattro when its on the start line.
Shame about that 145 though, but glad to hear its getting back on the road.

The car looks awesome, but I think the problem is the weigth of the engine. Therefore I think it's better the 2.0 t swap, in order to maintain the driveability of the car.

I'm not sure the lighter 2.0L makes much difference to the handling stakes, if the pic above is anything to go by.

Lots of power through the front wheels of a 145 seems a bit of a problem.

There is a 145 with a V6 engine conversion done over here too.
The problem with the car according to its owner is that with too much weight at the front end, it makes the car very tail happy on corners. Pretty dangerous me thinks. But on the straight, it's a pocket rocket.

Well you are right lots of power through the front wheels can be a problem, but you can improve the handling a lot with a Quaife LSD...

That's a pretty nice bumper on your 155. Custom made?

From what I've read, 145s are a bit tail happy anyway, but never drive one to confirm.

Off topic: Thank you, but sorry, it's 100% standard original bumper.... :thumb:
