That looks like a nice clean standard car you've got there.

but thats why she needs some upgrades ;]

Before you do anything else make sure you get the wheels checked, the standard speedlines are known for being a little soft and they do buckle very easily.

With brakes upgrade they will be replaced anyway.
Right now,
- mainfold and downpipe is ceramic coated to keep heat away from engine bay
- Bosst gauge, afr gauge and extra oil pressure gauge is "installed" into the car
- exhaust will be replaced from downpipe to rear end silencer, rear end box will have variable back pressure for low and high rpm range (have anyone tested such solution ?)
- and still waiting for CNC company to make brackets for brembo calipers for me :)
/end of the news for my bella
Some stuff that will be fitted soon.
Don't know if 17' OZ's will fit with calipers properly but will figure this out soon

Good luck with the fitting of the calipers, are the wheels 16" or 17"?

That looks nicely made and well fitted. 3" all the way through?

2,65", it have variable backpressure system, on low revs only one of two backpipes working, on high revs all (two) of them
it's much more quiet than previous (on first photo) and turbo spools up quicker (2600rpm, instead of 3100), also giving more boost (1,4 instead of 1,2) (i'm fighting with this now with some tuner specialists)

That sounds like a good system, I assume it works fully automatically? Must work if you are getting boost pressure at lower revs, and more pressure overall.

Yes, it works fully automatic
by the way, some first try on with brakes....

Looks like you had a lot of room for the brakes with those wheels. What size disks are they?
Looks like you had a lot of room for the brakes with those wheels. What size disks are they?
This is standard setup,
alfa 166 calipers, and fiat coupe 305mm brembo oro discs
bigger disks 310mm are only in 5x98 pcd setup, so bigger disks = custom made or redrilled disks.
I think 16" wheels are hard to find to fit properly, and with acceptable "look" for me (i know, gustibus non disputandum est :) )
and one of main factor was a wheel weight, these ones are very light.
<edit> i've added some photos </edit>

Little "pre-taste" what will be done to second engine... :)
Camshafts, 1" cambetl kit, gearbox plate, balancer shaft removal kit.... not included in pictures as i cannot find them :)

Looks like Santa has arrived early at your house.
Just one question, whats in the box?

These are bits and pieces that i'm collecting for a while, but dualplate hydraulic clutch came today and that's almost everything what i need for now :)
box came with forged conrods inside :)

Wow - you are building a bit of a monster
Verry nice job, I like the matching instrument's in air inlet
Some more parts,
have to exchange pistons :) -> my mistake :D
block and crank is ready too.
it's time for some refreshment (will probably paint the block) and assembling... time will show :D
Amazing toys :) feel free to ask anything mate! Don't forget that we were in rebuild stage too, so we can help you with any advice!!! Keep the nice work

Ahh, are you going for a special twin crank design?
Ahh, are you going for a special twin crank design?
bimotore meaby?, as this parts are from second engine
i've also bought extra crank and head.. it was a bargain that i coudn't resist.... 150EUR for both!... so i have one head and crank extra spare, besides whole engine in perfect condition that is in the car right now.
vary small update, as i have finally found some time between Brera and GTA repairs...
New profi pictures made by Marekm http://photomotive.net
very nice project, and photos too!
finally had some time to start assembling the engine....
photostory below :)
now i have blocker.. need to produce regulation plates
Engine is almost ready,
time for gearbox strengthening
gearbox was ice blasted to clear everything before disasembly..
nice tidy work! i like it! keep up the good work!
in the meantime... "new" refreshed recaros arrived today ;)
They look amazing!

That looks great! Congrats:clap::clap:
"old" still in very good shape power plant removed from car...
now time to put in new one :D
it's alive
oil pressure is ok, some small water leaks to correct, also oil leak on additional oil poressure sensor,
iddling is rubbish... don't know why yet...
but it drives, warms up, and works perfectly (when not iddling :) )
have to sort out some cables, battery is in the trunk, new mainfold strap...., remapping and stage1 will be completed :)
jupi! :)

:thumbsup:No matter how many you do there's always a smile when it fires up.

yep... but first one is always most important :D
very nice project!
i was having bad iddling after putting bigger camshafts...
where did you get thoose 4 galvanized plugs on block with which you have pluged balancer shaft? are they from some other particular car or? thanks

That was included in deltaparts balanced shaft removal kit.

Little update... car is still driving.... :thumb:
already changed oil two times just for sure (500km from first start)
still some water leaks, this time from under the water pump... but will fix it whem other parts will arrive.
anyone used evans performance Power Cool ? worth the money ?
regarding other parts... i'm waiting for new 3bar map sensor, and still searching Turbo that i want to try at the begining of the project, then there will be new inlet system made (with FMIC i would like to have it with as fwe pipes as possible because my main goal is to have very fast spool up) and exhaust mainfold for that turbo.
hope it will be done sooner than later,
ah, and i figured out for that moment bad iddling... just a matter of rewriting some portions of map in ECU, but lowest iddle revs that i can make is 1200.... bad not bad ? i don't know, but did it only via ignition and injection map, without touching inlet or exhaust timing.... for now... :)
the disadvantage of this -> i have to start the car two or three times when engine is cold.. that's something to figure out in cold start tables in ECU
and the clutch is avesome, but very hard pedal, and i had to learn a lot how to operate it in city/urban conditions :) still have some problems with starting :D
New toy arrived... time to produce exhaust mainfold...
TD05? Wish I knew you were looking for a turbo, I got offered something perfect the other week, but had to let it go as I didn't have a home for it.
Nice, what sort of power are you going for?
wrinx
From the engine perspective it's finished for now
top power was 367PS, and 480NM
but we left her on 363PS and 470NM
Hell of a job, hell of a car !
Got her out today for a drive,
just to scare spiders from the engine :)
and also made some vid.
0-120 acceleration with al lot of wheel spin (no traction :D)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9emqyG5YKVrdjEwUkE2TGNVVFU/view?usp=sharing
meanwhile looking for traction....
