I cracked a front brake disk today at Sandown Raceway. I am using the Fiat Coupe Turbo disks (305mmx28mm)..

Any Ideas of where to get performance ones to replace my broken stock ones - which ones are best?? I need to get these from Europe as you cant get them in Australia..

thanks - jim..

Hi Jim,

Seems like Fiat Coupe 20vt discs are subject of the day. Brembo do discs for the coupe. Were you after drilled, grooved or standard ones?

Had the same problem with mine.
I had brake disc from Tarox (G88 - grooved).
You could see the hot spots on the discs.

They look pretty good value, about 1/2 the price of the equivalent Brembo discs. Just so long as the quality is there.

Their postage costs seem to rise pretty steeply though.

Fiat Coupe rotors will be available ex New Zealand but it may still be cheaper to get hem from europe. I could send you some contacts if you want.

For the record a friend that races a 20VT Coupe uses 305mm 147 GTA rotors and redrills them for 4 stud as he has a lot of trouble with the Fiat ones for some reason.

Have you tried some EBC or OMP rotors from local importers?

Hi SteveNz, Thanks for your input - I did consider the 147 GTA rotors - but it just turned out cheaper to get them in Europe as you surmised..$250 AUD delivered..I got the ones Steve mentioned above..

But in future I am only going to use them for one year - the car is just too fast for 305mm brakes.. but that is all the 16" rims allow..

It's never too fast mate, it's just too heavy! :-)
