Does anyone have any experience of doing this recently?
I imported, well bought an Italian registered car about 10 years ago, and importing it into the UK was a doddle. Visit to the local DVLA office with a stack of paperwork and the new UK stuff arrived the following day through the post.
However I have been reading recently that Italy has clamped down on used car sales and you now need to be registered as an Italian resident to be able to buy a used car. Something to do with the number plates if I recall.
So has anyone brought a car out of Italy recently, last 6 months or so?
Looking on the Autoscout website there seem to be lots of interesting cars on at the moment.
