I think that even though you add some weight in putting these bars there, you probably can take care of the weight accordingly since the car will be more stiff, balanced and reliable in cornering, at least if you use it for "driving" (read trackdays) and not just sundayshopping which it would be useless for!

anyone done these mods?
I think I am going this route rather than bolting/welding a roll cage for stiffening the chassis since I want it to pass the MOT, and be able to carry passengers, maybe not AS good as a real cage but probably the next best thing. :)
