On the look for a 155 Q4

Hi!
My name is Lobo and I live in Portugal!
I?m on the look for a Q4, and I need some help to search what are the areas that I need to look,in the car, with more attention.
It will be a 1992/3 car with around 100 000 km -so it?s as to have problems - I just want to know where can I look for them!
Can anyone help me - Please!:smile:

WELCOME to the forum!

Q4s are pretty good cars but the main areas in my limited experience are...

Turbo failure - check for smoke
Camshaft wear (mainly exhaust side I think) - check for rattly engine, cams can be hard to find.
Belts and tensioners - make sure they have been replaced or do it straight away
Damage to floorpan (by jacks) can cause rust, perhaps not a problem in Portugal!
Leaking vacuum hoses - cause loss of turbo boost
Front wishbones - listen for knocking, could also be anti-roll bar bushes
Transmission - usually very good but listen for unusual whines and make sure the gearbox is ok
Electrics - make sure everything works :)

There rest is usual car stuff, make sure it drives ok, overall condition etc etc

As wrinx mentioned, they are good cars overall, hope you found a decent enough object.

there are quite many in italy at subito.it if anyone want to import one
