Does any one knows where this bl@@@ sensor is located?

With engine oil at max the instrument panel warning light goes on when I start the engine and when it goes off, the warning led at check panel goes on and stays on.

The oil level sensor is located in the oil pump, if you take the wheel out, you can see the sensor there in the pump.

you mean the one in the red cycle?

As suspected it is no longer available from Alfa spares.

Does anyone know a replacement part that can be used?

Yes, that one, i have no idea if there is any replacement part, but that part i think its the same in all 155`s with chekpanel.

forgot.
going home earlier in the morning, the warning light at the instrument panel went off and the warning led at check panel went off a little later!
I'll try to clean the contacts in the weekend - or ...

I expect it is just dirty contacts - a fail safe way of telling you :)

I have this problem as well, just the led on the checkpanel are lit, the oil level is on max and the low-oil gauge in the instrument cluster goes off right after the engine started as it should..
are there a replacement item available?

try to have the oil level upper the hi mark

some oil goes to the cam safts when you start the engine and when the engine stop the oil from camsafts stays there because of the slow drain.
this is normal when the engine run the cam shafts are fully with oil

didn?t help me in my case, maybe should mention that the oil sensor were broken and we patched it together during reassembly, anyone have an idea where to get a new one?

Given that most (all?) of the sensors in the engine are made by Magneti Marelli, it might be worthwhile trying to get an answer from them.
I'm just having a look round now to see if they have a complete catalogue.

I have looked everywhere for this sensor (mine is broken so the warning are active always in the checkpanel) you can crosswirre it but I don?t want to deactivate the warning I want to fix it!

does anyone know if it is the same sensor for all alfa 155 with the checkpanel or something different for the Q4?

another question little off topic but anyway: does anything differ between a regular widebody steeringrack and a Q4-widebody?
(have bought the fenders both front and rear (with reardoors) and thinking of changing to quicker steering as well..)

The same sensor use
Fiat Tipo Sedici or TDS
Fiat Tempra with digital dashboard and 1.8, 2.0 or TDS engines
Lancia Dedra 1.8, 2.0 and TDS, models to '94, after face lift, there is no oil level check sensor
