I have been looking all over the internet but I can?t find it any where.

Perhaps a kit from a Fiat coupe turbo, lancia delta integrale would fit?

Can anybody help?

I will soon, I promise (sorry wrinx) get a photo of the plates on my gear connection - have been promising it for ages but never got far enough. Give me a week or so.

Lancia Delta Integrale to my best knowledge has levers/rods system, Q4 - cables, but I think you know that...
So it's a bit different, but I you should be able to interchange them if needed. Need to cut some holes in front section of car to fit Delta rods/levers...
However I don't know where to get short shift for Delta Integrale either

Edit: here you go some pictures for Q4:

My Q4 has that exact same short shift kit. I did not realize that it was a commercial 'product'.

jimn~

.. edit.. um, not I see why it looks so similar - its a picture from my car, when I first stripped out the interior....

I'll shoot someone here, grrrrrr.

It's less than a month I've change my gearshift cables and I was wandering if it is possible to mount the Integrale's levers/rod system - with or without the short shift kit. Did someone has already done this mod?

@mindbus
do you have more infos about? pictures?

@ Jimnielsen,
could you measure the dimensions of the additional parts?

Ill take some pictures of what need's to be cut off in the body to fit it... well that's my guess, cause I bought the body without engine and transmission but with those levers left in the car and bits cut off inside to fit it...
so don't know if it was really functioning in it but if it will help I'll take some pictures.. Ultimately, it should not be a major problem. If you have those levers/rods etc., some DIY work and it should fit...
edit: picture, shows how much the body was cutted

Hello,
I ordered a short shifter kit from Japan. It was a little difficult but a guy from my company dit it for me.
I ordered this one, http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ggshop/a155-ar4002/ or this site
http://www.flatout.jp/store/item/list.php?f=1&mode=0&n=20&page=0&md=c&id=7&type=b
and it fits perfect, it needs some modifikation on the body but it take only 1/2h to fit. The price was 55€.

Regards Michael

PS. There are a lot of other interesting product on this japanese page

I'm not. I do prefer the 'levers/rods system' mod and given the opportunity I'll go for it.
I find this system more reliable than the cables and I could use the 'short shift' from the Grales {for example}.

when you have done it Nick I would like that too...

it will take me a while as it's almost a month I've just replace the broken cable of mine and there are too many things to do before that.
Mindbus, I believe is going to to this mod before me and I hope he will keep posting pictures of this mod.

not right now... :( have to find or repair solar gear first and put the engine with gearbox back to the car, and then... :)
Well, not on top of my list.

Just a thought, but instead of increasing the distance between where the cable joins the gear stick and its fulcrum, why not decrease this distance at the gearbox end? It will give the same effect of a shortened gear shift.
Then again there might not be room at the gearbox end of things.

my friends girl didn?t have any luck either sorry guys!
hope someone can be able to get a hold of these, noone on here from that part of the world feeling to be a "hero"? :P

Q4-Dave
10-03-10, 13:23
I have tried a little more in getting these, translating every screen up til the inquiry-form with a sentence-translator, but it will take some time to get a hold of where which translation go, but a little more work should just do the trick, for your info the price are about 70ish Euros excluding the freight.

Xti
10-03-10, 18:34
70 EUR is not that much if this kit realy does make the difference.
Do we know someone who has this kind of kit mounted on his 155 Q4? I feel like I've read somewhere on the forum...

PS: Dave, your effort is appreciated. Thank you.

Greatings,
Cristian.

Q4-Dave
10-03-10, 21:27
Here are a picture of the kit mounted in a Alfa 155, found on another alfa romeo forum, some cutting of the trim required as seen in the pic but should be covered by the gear-shift surround. :)

no, I'm not interested in selling them. I'd like just to try them in my car. But if someone from the forum is interested I could make a copy of it at the cost of the guy with the laser cutting {and 'water cutting'} machine.

Sorry guys...I tried. I pulled all of the centre console out. I attempted to undo the nut holding one of the plates on but it has been done up too tight before and the nut would not free up - just spinning and not biting the thread to undo. Things were a bit tight to get a grinder or hacksaw in there, I think I needed something more like a Dremel with cutting disc....didn't have that available so had to call it quits. bit of a pain as I was planning to send drawings of them off to the same place I know that does the 166 caliper brackets.

I wonder if Jim might be able to help you instead?

Sorry :(
