Where to do extra wiring from engine to ECU?

I am about to do some extra wiring from the engine (Wide band lambda, EGT, etc.) and wonder if anyone can tell me where the best location is. It seems like the ECU cables disapears behind the glove box and even when I hade the subframe, oil sump and transmission dismantled this summer I didn't see where the cables went through the torpedo wall...

I used a hole in the firewall located as in the piture.
Take out that the thing rounded in the pic so as to get full access.
Although you?ll have to remove the plastic cover under the wipers.
On the oposite side of the firewall you?ll have another hole. That one is used by the water spray hose, but still let?s you pass a few wires.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I made a similar operation on a Seat Toledo some weeks ago and it was made as you describe it, but I don't want to be unneccessary violent when dealing with my 155 :). Now I know.
