Are you going to cut out the cats? I thought they bolted in after the exhaust had split in 2. If so won't you need 4 of those couplers, and 2 lengths of pipe?

Cats are long gone, currently fitted with a 2.5 stainless system. But, it failed the last MOT with the previous owner and he had to have an expensive racing cat fitted. Unfortunately they must have bodged it as the damn thing is leaking heavily from both joints!

Good enough reason to chop it out methinks

Ahh, that explains it then. Didn't think you'd miss something like that.

anyway, i know a friendly mot guy who will have no problem to test the car without the cat, legally too... and i hear he works FAST ;)

My Q4 regularly passes its MOT without the CAT fitted. It is always nin the boot just in case it is needed.

Yeah...but he doesn't do tests by post

I'm planning on testing the theory previously posted here, that Q4s can undergo another test if they fail the cat test

Mine went through the MOT without cats this year with no issues, never used the garage before either:cool:
