The leather was realtively in a good state, but you could already see that the drivers seat was starting to shine more than the passenger seat.

In addition, you could also see folds in the leather that had started to harden. The leather had also never been impregnated.

After considerable research, it appeared that the Colourlock 7 step program seemed to be the "best in class" for leather treatment.

From cleansing, feeding, and if required restoring the leather in many different ways, to elephant leather sealant to protecting cabriolet leather against sun, etc.

Description of the steps (in Dutch, but you can still tell from the pictures ;) ):
COLOURLOCK; leerrenovatie, reparatie- en onderhoudsproducten. (http://www.mooi-leer.nl/)

There are relatively few places that offer this treatment in Holland, but the guy I found was a pro.

Of the 5 Veyrons in Holland he was responsible for the showroom look of 2 of them. So the car was in good hands. His line was Swissvax, but it seems that for leather cleansing swissvax products have Colorlock in the jars, so it's the same stuff.

The important goal for me was impregnating the leather against dirt for a long time, and also getting it to have a like new matt finish. So no used gloss oils in the appearance, just mat.

The leather before the treatment; (But I had cleaned every square inch using a toothbrush and Quick 'n Brite several months before.) I had even done this twice over. Still, this was as clean as I could get it using this (amateur) method.

You can see the hard folds in the leather, which showed up a few weeks after I had cleaned it:

The result.

These pictures are misleading in that they have been taken in harsh sunlight.

The leather actually shines a lot less in normal lighting. The actual shade and tint of red is also very difficult to capture digitally, on the camera or on screen, without saturating the image too much.

I did notice when first driving the car outside after the treatment, that the red leather appeared to be alot brighter and redder than before. It almost had a dark neon red glow.

This is the drivers seat(!). You can see that all the hard folds are gone, and in the subsequent shots you can see that both seats have the same shine.

A shot in the shade so that you can see the correct shine on the seats.

The car will be staying in the garage for a few days with the windows up to let the product do what it does on the leather.
